Historian
Amber Payne is a second-year Law Fellow in Vanderbilt University’s Office of the General Counsel. She is a Chicago native and graduate of Vanderbilt University. She received her Juris Doctor from Belmont University where she served as a Teacher’s Assistant, President of the Black Law Student’s Association, and Student Ambassador. Prior to joining the Office of the General Counsel, Amber interned with the Nashville Predators where she developed an interest in the intersection of law and complex organizations. She also worked at the Tennessee Office of the Attorney General’s Education and Employment Division. Amber is also fluent in Spanish. In her free time, she enjoys experimenting in the kitchen or taking dance lessons.
