Simone Marshall Hayes is a Barbadian-born, Nashville-raised lawyer who advocates for the marginalized. Simone currently works for Acadia Healthcare as Associate Counsel for Labor and Employment. Prior to her service at Acadia, Simone was a prosecutor in the Nashville District Attorney’s Office, where she resolved a myriad of felony-level cases—with a special passion and focus on domestic violence cases. She serves her community in a number of ways, including her current role as Immediate Past President of Napier Looby-Bar Association, Vice President for the Tennessee Alliance for Black Lawyers, and member of the Coalition of 100 Black Women. Simone is passionate about voting rights, community engagement and advocating for victims of domestic violence. She loves spending time with her husband and family, traveling the world, tennis and good vegan food.
